Alex Baker, Associate Attorney

Originally from Sparta, Tennessee, Alex spent much of his childhood in Houston, Texas, before returning home to study at the University of Tennessee. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in History and was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta and the Hebrew Language Club.

After graduating, Alex attended Liberty University School of Law, in Lynchburg, Virgnia, where he earned his Juris Doctor. During law school, he was involved in the Federalist Society and the Christian Legal Society, further strengthening his foundation in legal philosophy and professional ethics.

Before beginning his undergraduate studies, Alex worked in Nashville in utility line locating and new construction, where he also met his wife, Mary. Following law school, he practiced law in East Tennessee before returning to his hometown of Sparta and joining Waters, PLLC, where he now serves as the firm’s Estate Administration Attorney.

Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors. An avid hiker, he hopes to visit every national park in the United States. Alex lives in Sparta with his wife, Mary; their son, Richard; and their cat, Alice.
