Taylor Beth Gothard, Associate Attorney

Taylor Beth is a native of Smith County, Tennessee, and moved to Cookeville in 2016 to attend Tennessee Tech University. While in college, she began working for Attorney Joy Buck Gothard as a legal assistant in 2019 and was later promoted to law clerk, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the legal field.

In 2020, Taylor Beth earned her bachelor's degree in Human Ecology with a concentration in Child Development and Family Relations from Tennessee Tech University. Inspired by her passion for serving others, she continued her education at Nashville School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2024 and was admitted to practice law in Tennessee.

Following law school, Taylor Beth served as an Associate Attorney alongside Joy Buck Gothard, continuing a professional relationship that spanned seven years. She is deeply grateful for the mentorship, guidance, and experience she gained during that time. In June 2026, Taylor Beth joined Waters Law as an Estate Planning Attorney, where she is dedicated to helping individuals and families protect what matters most through thoughtful, personalized estate planning.

Taylor Beth's husband, Adam, serves as an Appraisal Analyst for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury. Together, they have two daughters, Riley Claire and Lilly Drew. Their family attends The River Community Church in Cookeville.
